Honouring your own pace in 2024

We all have our unique ways of navigating life. Some thrive in the "push" mode, continuously evolving, taking action, and propelling themselves forward. Then there are those who approach life with a lighter touch, often labeled as "passive," listening closely to their inner voice and acting only when the time feels right. I'm most of the time in this later state.

I firmly believe there isn't a "right way" to go about this. I'm all about balance, and I take cues from nature, our ultimate teacher. After all, our essence is intertwined with nature—from where we came, to where we'll return one day.

As the year winds down, we're bombarded with messages urging change, pushing us to become our best selves, alter old habits, or adopt new ones. While these messages can be inspiring for some, they can add an extra layer of pressure for others, hinting that "how you are right now isn't okay; you need to change!"

From my personal journey, I've learned that moving forward from a place of stillness prevents burnout. Yet, when I force myself forward, I tend to exhaust my energy. Does this resonate with you too?

Through this learning process, I've come to understand my inner resources—a reservoir of energy within each of us. Managing this energy wisely is crucial for a healthy life. We've got tools that help us fill this energy bag so we can navigate work, social interactions, learning, creativity, and growth. If our resources diminish and we keep pushing, our bodies send signals (illness, discomfort, breakdowns) to pause and recharge—an incredible mechanism, right?

Approaching the end of 2023, especially during winter in the Northern Hemisphere, nature offers a hint: the quieter you become, nurturing yourself, the more your energy bag gets replenished.

I want to remind you—it's okay to take time off. It's fine not to check everything off your to-do list. It's absolutely okay to rest and cherish moments with loved ones. Feeling low on energy and not the most outgoing or active? That's perfectly fine too. Embrace where you are and how you feel.

Wishing you a fantastic end to the year and a graceful start to 2024, filled with gratitude for all the lessons learned in 2023.

Remember, I'm here to support you every step of the way! 😊

With love,

Tarsi.
