Non-Judgmental Awareness as one of the keys for healing

The healing journey unfolds as you are able to feel safe, quiet your mind and be present with the emotions and body sensations coming to surface. The next key to keep you on the path is practicing non-judgmental awareness.

When emotions and sensations are felt, the mind might want to participate on the process again. Maybe it's just a matter of curiosity where your mind is trying to figure out the meaning behind all those sensations in your body. Or it can be a sort of protection mechanism to prevent you from suffering.

When emotions, sensations and charges in the body get too intense and you don't have inner resources/capacity to be present with all of them, this protection mechanism might kick-in. The mind captures your awareness and focuses it in something else. With that, you loose touch with the body and all its charges and the suffering is somehow pushed away from the present moment. This is your mind protecting you, and it's ok!

It's all a matter of exercising, or training yourself in increasing presence and staying grounded in the experience your body is bringing to you. It's putting into practice the non-judgmental approach, letting go of the urge to "understand" or "interpret" the sensations and feelings you're experiencing.

It's about shifting your attention back to the bodily sensations: acknowledge them, observe their qualities, intensities, locations, and simply be with whatever arises. You can turn that into an exploration, remembering that emotions come and go just like our thoughts. The sensations and charges on the body don't define you and won't stay forever (as long as we can allow them to be fully processed).

At this point, we start a process of validation of whatever is present. It means accepting our emotions as they are without trying to dismiss or change them. It's about saying to ourselves, "it's okay to feel this way." This acceptance creates a safe space for emotions to be felt and processed, which is essential for healing.

"Observe without judgment and watch the transformation." - Eckhart Tolle

My support for you...

The sessions I offer do not end when you leave. The process might start during the session and continue for the required time to allow all the charges to be fully processed. I'm always present with my clients after the sessions to offer them whatever support they need: encouragement to go through the healing journey, an open space to ask questions and share experiences, a moment to acknowledge what's happening inside of you.

With that, I aim to show that you are not alone on the process, supporting you to walk with awareness each stage of this path.
